Why "Mimi's Trail"

Mimi Conklin Upmeyer was a dedicated volunteer for the environment, and served as HLTA's first administrator. Mimi also served many years on Delaware Township?s Environmental Commission and Planning Board. She was also on the board of trustees of both the Friends of the Locktown Stone Church and the Delaware River Mill Society. Mimi worked as a staff member for ANJEC and the League of Women Voters and was a founding board member of New Jersey Future. As anyone who knew Mimi would say, she was a warm and sincere individual whose concern for others was tremendous. Mimi passed away in 2003 and she is surely missed.

Directions to Mimi's Trail and the Zega-Lockatong Preserve:

From Frenchtown, NJ, take Route 29 South. Pass Raven Rock / Bull's Island. Turn left at Federal Twist Road. Take your next right onto Rosemont-Raven Rock Road. The preserve can be accessed from a small gravel parking lot on the left, just before the Steel Bridge.

From Stockton, NJ, take Route 29 North. Turn right at Federal Twist Road. Take your next right onto Rosemont-Raven Rock Road. The preserve can be accessed from a small gravel parking lot on the left, just before the Steel Bridge.

From Route 519 heading south: Just after the Cafe at Rosemont and the curve in the road, bear right on Raven Rock Road (leaving 519). You will pass Hunterdon County's Wescott Preserve.
on your right. Cross the steel bridge, and park in the small gravel lot to the right after the bridge.
