Wondering Why a Land Trust is Running a Farmers' Market?

The Hunterdon Land Trust is a nonprofit organization that is recognized as a leader in farmland preservation. We work to make our vision of a vibrant agricultural community a reality in Hunterdon County and know that preserving farmland is not, by itself, enough.

We started the Farmers’ Market at the Historic Dvoor Farm in 2007 to help support local farmers by giving them a place to sell their food directly to the public. Because our market is dedicated to supporting local farmers our Market policy allows the sale of only locally grown and produced products.

Through our land preservation program and farmers’ market we are working to make sure local farmers can afford to buy - and farm - land in Hunterdon County

Can't get enough of the Market? Watch a 10 minute slideshow about the market's past, present and future.
